We’re architects, designers, and engineers who spent years working on high-end salons and beauty spaces. Along the way, we saw a recurring problem: ventilation systems were too expensive, too complex, and overlooked, especially by independent salon owners who needed them the most. To solve this, we launched Salon Safe, a company focused on making pre-engineered, easy-to-install ventilation systems. As we worked with salon owners, advocacy groups, and local code officials, the issue became bigger than just equipment. What we found was a systemic gap around affordability, governance, and incentives. There was no clear framework to support small businesses in creating healthy, code-compliant spaces, and they often were left with little support from the manufacturers that produce these toxic products.

That’s when we turned to the blockchain. Inspired by carbon credits and powered by trustless tech, we saw an opportunity to turn fresh air into a commodity, one that salons could earn, trade, and use not because they had to, but because they wanted to. And that’s how BeautiFi was born. Our goal is simple but ambitious: to build a sustainable, bottom-up economy that rewards participants for the work required to keep our interior spaces safe from the toxins found in the products we fill them with.

Beautifi is a blockchain-based platform that creates a tradable market for clean indoor air, inspired by carbon credit systems but tailored to interior environments. Society invests heavily in protecting the external environment, yet indoor spaces, where people spend 90% of their time, are often more toxic due to poor ventilation and accumulated pollutants. BeautiFi addresses this by assigning measurable value to clean air, starting with salons (which have pollutant levels up to 100x higher than our homes) and expanding to schools, offices, homes and more. This unlocks a new ESG asset class, rewards small businesses for compliance, and provides verifiable proof of indoor air quality.

BeautiFi uses IoT (internet of things) sensors embedded into ventilation systems to monitor and verify clean air production in real time, similar to “mining” toxins out of indoor spaces. When clean air is confirmed, it generates $BTFI tokens on a blockchain, ensuring tamper-proof records without middlemen. These tokens can be bundled into Proof-of-Care (PoC) badges for ESG reporting traded on an open market, or staked for stability. Investors can sponsor equipment via transferable NFTs, earning a share of the tokens, while token retirement (burning) maintains scarcity and value. Beautifi lowers these barriers by turning ventilation into a tradable $BTFI tokens, which can offset equipment, maintenance, and energy expenses. As $BTFI tokens enter the utility pool ESG sponsors such as beauty product manufacturing companies, advocate groups or individuals can reward salons for removing toxins in their space by “burning” tokens via the PoC and providing scarcity to the network. It shifts from forced regulations to incentives, empowering businesses to prioritize safety while building a verifiable track record of clean air efforts that attracts health conscious customers and partners.

Unlike centralized carbon credit markets prone to fraud and bureaucracy, BeautiFi uses blockchain as a decentralized, tamper-proof ledger accessible to all. Smart contracts automate verification and token issuance via the Poor-of-Air (PoA), eliminating the need for auditors.
